Josie Greve-Peterson

Josie Greve-Peterson is the Corporate Microbiologist for PSSI Food Safety Solutions, supporting their comprehensive sanitation services, chemical products, pest management, and intervention solutions for food processing facilities. At PSSI she develops and implements strategies and programs to mitigate food safety risks, offers microbiological technical assistance, and raises the profile of food safety by embedding it in company culture. Josie has worked within the food industry in various quality management and food testing roles, leading process optimization and technology evaluation projects.

Earning a Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University-Mankato and a Master of Science in microbiology from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, Josie loves to learn. She has published articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented research at international food safety meetings. She is an active member of the International Association of Food Protection and serves on their leadership board for the Dairy Safety and Quality Professional Development Group.

In her spare time, Josie can be found on the ice, teaching curling to new enthusiasts and curling with her husband and friends, or at home, reading and coloring with her daughter.
