Patrick Bird is a Sr. Manager, Scientific Affairs at bioMérieux, collaborating with industry and regulatory agencies to develop and advance science based standards and regulations.  Pat has 19+ years’ experience in microbiology analytical testing, including than a 100 validations studies following AOAC, ISO, Health Canada and EPA guidelines.  

Pat is a member of several technical working groups (AOAC, IAFP, ISO, IFSH, and AHPA) and has presented numerous webinars and at scientific conferences on microbiology validation for the food and cannabis industries. Pat holds a BS in microbiology from the Ohio State University and a MS in Food Safety from Michigan State University
